  Brothers playing sports are so aggressive.

  this summer i started to play football(soccer) with "wordly" people.

  it s been so nice and relaxing without flashovers.. contrast for playing with witnesses is huge!

  here is couple examples of witnesses games from where i live:.

  I knew of one brother who lost his eye sight in one eye because some brother hit him so hard playing baseball. Another bother hurt his leg and was out of work for over three months though he was a strange guy, became an elder after he was baptized for hardly a year as he was a real kiss butt kind of guy, everyone was there at the hospital when he went to the ER after he got hurt playing basketball yet my husband had a heart attack while conducting the school and no one came up to be with me. OH the love of the brothers and sisters. By their love you will know that you have the "truth".

  Update & Moving on with life

  hello all, just wanted to update you all on my further steps in the exiting process (a process that may never end in some respects).

  to set up a context for my update: my story in a nutshel-.

  did a quick fade in the fall of 2009 to start going to university and escape a very unhappy living situation.

  The generation that saw the end of the Vietnam War will never die!

  so what will be the new light on having such a young gb member?

  will it be that obviously jesus clearly meant that evidently, plainly, unmistakably and with out a doubt (matt 24:34) that this generation that overlapped with the generation that saw ww1 and would overlap with the generation that saw ww2 which would than clearly overlap with the ones who saw the end of the vietnam war will never die.. this new gb is younger then i am and i just barley remember the end of the vietnam war.. how do the older ones keep believing this?

  how can someone who is in their 60's to 80's swallow this?

  very good information even in the 1st chapter called " cult common denominators " .

  I did not know that Hassan had a new book out. I just came back from from "pig out in the park" it is something that the city I live in dose each Labor Day where there is a ton of food venders selling different kinds of food to try, nothing over $8.00 for a meal, I got off work early so we thought we would try it have not been down there for years.

  I was very surprised to see the Scientology's there, it just kind of made my appetite go away to see them. They were very agresseive grabing people as they walked by saying they were just doing a personality test. There was nothing there that linked them to Scientology they were just friendly people trying to be kind it seemed. I only know because of this board and Hassen's books. I just think it should be illegal for them to be out like that, but this is a free country I guess like the JW's can go door to door doing the same thing.

  I will be checking out his new book as soon as I can. Thanks for your input on the book.

  amen ziddina! Your are probably right about the no High School degree as my parents fought me about that. They wanted my sister and I to drop out of school in the ninth grade and not worry about it. My sister did but I insisted on getting at least a high school degree.

  I will be 50 years old next year. My parents are dead, yet I was not supposed to go to grade school, for sure not Jr high, no way high school. I was never supposed to be old enough to marry, much less have kids. Now I am old enough to almost be a great grandmother.

  How I hate this religion. If I had not been so stupid as to have listened to the religion and if I had, had kids they would have went to college screw the Watchtower.

  Cataloging the damage of the Watchower in my life

  1. jehovah's witnesses interferance in my parents marriage leading to mother rejecting father who could not come at the teachings.. 2. my mother taking us 500km away from father to start a new life with a much older jw man just after armageddon didnt come in 75...for teaching us that he was evil and deserved to be killed by god.. 3. bullying at school for being a jw, resulting in only one friend all through school and learning little social interaction.

  leading to leaving early with no education beyond year 10.. 4. marrying way to young for love?....

  5. making me feel like a demon for being human.. 6. rejection by all friends and wife because i couldn't stick it.. 7. not going back to wife because of rejection, nervous breakdown by freeing wife and believing i was now doomed to die.. 8. almost leaving my childrens lives by both suicide and disapearing.. 9. wifes support by wt to force me out of their lives and for coaching her to do this.

  I do not think I could add anything to your list as it spells out exactly what I went through expect I did not have kids. OMG I just cannot even begin to understand the hell of what that must be like. I am so sorry for you and your kids.

  I too just HATE this religion and what it has done to my life, and so many others. I too tell everyone who will listen that it is a CULT and to run from them not walk when they met a JW. They are such a cult but appear so sweet at first that people will tell me that I must be wrong the JW's they know are so NICE. So many people do not want to hear it it makes me so sad.
